During the 1990’s Audio Terrorist recorded over 40 demos, collaborations, and alternate mixes that are currently unavailable. Over the coming weeks and months MP3’s of some selections will be given away for free. Many of the tracks are radically different from what appears on “Fracture”.

Stupid Bitch (annikah mix): This track was cowritten with Annikah in 1997 and between 1999 and 2000 an alternate version was recorded with her on vocals.

Night People (lost boys mix): This version that appeared on the 1995 “Genderfuck” album and 1997 single of the same name. Robert Jasman, who in 1996 would go on to produce Department of Crooks’ Plan 9 from Las Vegas which featured Kalib on Theremin, appeared on keyboard along with a session drummer. Some little known band called Smashmouth had to be quieted for the take, as they were practing upstairs.

Mother (pop): One of two alternative versions recorded in 1994 along with the (cello) version that appears on the “Fracture” album. The second alternative version appears in the Mother (video) on the “Fractured” DVD.

FAN CLUB CD: Fractras - Xtras from Fracture

Fans who purchase the “Fracture” CD from CDBaby are automatically added to the fan club and sent a gift.

Oh, Old Man [remastered]: A demo song by a band that  I briefly sung lead for (Oceansize). In 1998, Kalib produced a new version with Annikah on vocals. The track was remastered for inclusion on Fracture but label concerns about copywrite forced its removal.

A Game Called Echo [remastered]: Another track dropped from the Fracture release for copywrite reasons, is this cover of Gary Numan’s 1980 b-side.

Tracks [remastered]: The second Numan track remastered for the “Fracture” release. The song features a rare duet between Annikah and Kalib.

Big Daddy’s Bones [remastered]: An unusual “Tom Waits” styled song. It was recorded live in one take when A.T.’s first drummer, Chechi of Curbside, came to visit the studio in 2001.

 Post Fracture Remixes 2006

Mother (2006): The “cello” version of Mother never had a drum track. I always meant to add one but also felt it was good as is. At long last, here it is.

ASYLUM (1999)

Genderfuck (Machine): A much heavier industrial version. This is a 4min edit of the full 8min mix done in 1994 for the Genderfuck tour.

The Mystic: A simple track about mysticism and following teachers who tell you, “they know the way...”

GENDERFUCK (1995)

Sympathy ‘89: An unusual industrial track that predated NIN’s Wish. BDSM and a driving beat.

Branded (early version): Heavy and brooding. Recorded late one night at the Concept Sound studio.

NIGHTPORTERS AND DREAMS - Live (1992)

As the Day Breaks: This is the song that started it all. After an initial meeting I had Kedar and Chechi meet for a jam. Kalib hit record and this simply came out.

The Gypsy: Rebekkah Arent, who appears on the Fracture track Mother, improvised this dark and beautiful piece and the band simply joined in.
